At W&S Plastics, we provide end-to-end printing solutions that allow our customers to take their molded products from concept to shelf-ready, all in one place.
Our in-house printing, assembly, and packaging services ensure that products can be produced, customised, and shipped without the delays and complications of using multiple suppliers. From medical devices and industrial products to personalised promotional items, we have the experience and knowledge to exceed customer expectations continually.
Why Choose In-House Printing?
Printing directly on-site offers significant benefits for our customers:
- Fast and Efficient: Our streamlined process eliminates the need for external suppliers, reducing production time and ensuring faster delivery.
- Cost Savings: We maintain a lower price per part by handling everything in-house.
- Smaller supply chain: Full oversight from start to finish guarantees the highest quality and consistency.
- Customisation: We can add branding or decorative elements to enhance your product’s value and appeal.
Pad Printing: Our Most Popular Service
Our pad printing services are the most widely used at W&S Plastics, in Australia and Malaysia. This versatile method allows us to print on flat and slightly curved surfaces, making it ideal for a variety of products including:
- Safety Helmets
- Eskys
- Medical Devices (CPAP machines, face masks)
- Industrial Items (water pumps)
- Promotional Items (rulers, frisbees, coasters, cups, plates, yoyos and more).
The Pad Printing Process
Our pad printing process follows a step by step approach that ensures consistent results, this includes:
- Artwork Submission: Customers provide artwork in a camera-ready format (PDF, AI, or EPS) at a minimum resolution of 300 dpi.
- Preparation: We create a printing plate from the artwork, mix PMS inks, and assemble the necessary machine components.
- Printing: The part is securely positioned, the pad is attached, and the print is aligned. After thorough testing and customer approval, we proceed with the full print run.
Our multi-colour Kent & Teca-Print pad machines can handle up to 8-colour prints, offering rich, detailed results. We also have single-colour machines that can be automated to work directly with our injection moulding equipment for even greater efficiency.
Other Advanced Printing Techniques
Laser Marking
Our CO2 and UV laser marking machines are ideal for intricate projects. The CO2 laser cutter/marker is particularly useful for packaging, while the UV laser offers precise, cold marking solutions for specialised applications.
Screen Printing
For larger or flat surfaces, our flatbed screen printing machine delivers high-quality prints with PMS-matched colours. After preparing the screen from the artwork and testing alignment, we begin the production run.
Streamlining Your Production Process
Offering printing in-house makes our customers’ production process more efficient and cost-effective.
- Fewer Delays: You don’t need to wait for external suppliers to handle printing. Everything happens on-site, so there’s no risk of time lost in transit or miscommunication.
- Lower Costs: By combining printing with molding and assembly, we offer a lower price per part, saving you money on the final product.
- Reduced Admin: Fewer suppliers mean fewer points of contact and less paperwork, streamlining the whole process.
- Increased Control: You get full oversight on quality and timelines, giving you peace of mind.
Skilled Workforce
Our trained team brings technical and practical expertise to each project. Through hands-on training, our staff learn critical scientific principles like static electricity, surface tension, and energy conversion, ensuring every product is printed to the highest standard. This expertise ensures your project meets deadlines without compromising on quality.
